INOBS Series basket filter is the necessary equipment on the pipeline, as the safe-guard filter, removes large contaminant particles and protect key equipments such as pumps, nozzles, heat exchangers and valves.
It can obviously extend the service life of key equipments, improve operational efficiency and avoid the risk of costly system downtime. INOBS filter also works well as the direct large particle filter. The metal filter basket is reusable by cleaning and cost less filter media consumption.
INOBS Filter can be installed onto pipelines from 1 to 48 inches. The standard design pressure is 0.6MPa and 1.0MPa.
Higher custom-made design pressure is available.
Basket strainers are sometimes used in double arrangements so that flow can be diverted while the system remains in service and the screen is cleaned. This can be accomplished with a duplex style strainer up to 8" diameters, but can also use a second strainer placed in parallel with the primary strainer.
The standard basket or screen material in most strainers today is 304 series stainless steel. 316 stainless steel is also common (often used for additional corrosion resistance). Monel is also a material that can easily be provided by most manufacturers. There are many variations of mesh and perforations that are available along with various methods of construction, and support methods, based on specific applications.
These strainers are usually supplied in one of four materials: Iron, carbon steel, bronze, or stainless steel. Iron is used most often because it costs the least, and has good corrosion resistance in water and many other services. Carbon steel is used where higher temperatures, or concern with thermal or mechanical shock is an issue, which makes them popular in the oil and petrochemical industries. Bronze handles thermal and mechanical shock better than iron, and is better in some corrosive applications, but is limited in temperature range. Stainless steel is needed where corrosion could be an issue, and is widely used in the chemical, food, and pharmaceutical industries.
